Not as good as the previous model (the Franklin crossword puzzle solver) mainly because the buffering is so slow when trawling through the word options. The original still seems to be available and is a better buy for crosswords.

I have had a franklin for over 30 years now 1985 i had it given to me by a friend who couldn’t get along with it, a few days ago, the letters seem to be getting weaker, so I changed the batteries, still no good, so I had a brainwave cleaned up the contacts and hey presto back to normal, but I am going to keep this one. The one in question is a Franklin spellmaster model QE 103 now retailing around £35, still brilliant. This one (QE model)gives me lotto No’s and a few more besides.
