A thief and his accomplice are caught on camera bungling an ATM theft from a Texas store and fleeing empty-handed in a stolen truck.

The brazen pair pulled into the EZ Mart in Marshall Texas around 5am local time.

The first thief can be seen trying to tie a lasso of sorts around the ATM in an attempt to have the waiting truck drag it out of the store.

The truck attempts to drive off but the rope unties from the back of the vehicle.

After trying several failed attempts to secure the ATM to the waiting truck properly, the duo give up pulling the rope back into the truck and driving away.

According to the Harrison County Police the stolen truck was recovered and returned to its owner.
