The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck will be spreading the word on how you can take action by directly contacting European leaders – through a simple digital tool at benjerry.com/refugees[1] – and encourage them to support historic legislation that could help refugees rebuild their lives in safety.

As an added incentive there will also be sweet treats in the form of Ben & Jerry’s new awareness-raising flavour, Home Sweet Honeycomb.

Melanie Ward, Director of Policy & Advocacy, International Rescue Committee said: “At a time of unprecedented displacement, not everyone has a safe place to call home. Our Home Coming Tour is the latest instalment of our Together for Refugees campaign, launched on World Refugee Day to allow people to take action and make a real difference to vulnerable refugees by influencing key European legislation on a managed resettlement program. We’re at a really exciting point where we have a genuine chance to make a significant change, and every voice counts.”

Ben & Jerry’s has a history of standing up for issues they believe in, and of using their voice to drive social action – from climate justice to marriage equality.

The Home Coming Tour is the latest instalment of an all-important mission to help give vulnerable refugees a home, safe home.
