Diana Dodog had to keep quiet about winning MasterChef Ireland for several months until the programme aired. Sworn to secrecy, but keen to capitalise on the win once the show was broadcast on RTE in May 2014, she and husband Mike O’Donovan bought and revamped a mobile kitchen. The idea was to launch a business on the back of what she assumed would be 15 minutes of foodie fame.

Three and a bit years on, Food Depot — her food truck overlooking the sea at Courtmacsherry, Co Cork — was recently the recipient of the first ever Georgina Campbell Street Food Award.
