“Absolute disgrace!” Coca-Cola Christmas truck visit causes traffic gridlock chaos trapping drivers in car park

The Coca-Cola[1] truck – a normally joyous moment in the year for UK’s cities when it visits – has caused a major gridlock in Glasgow by ‘trapping’ unhappy drivers in a car park for more than two hours. Chaos ensued after crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the famous festive vehicle at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow on Saturday. But instead of kicking off the Christmas season in style, the attraction left drivers inside the car park furious and resulted in high levels of traffic, reports Glasgow Live.[2][3]

Motorists stuck in the parking area took to social media to vent their rage, blaming ‘horrific management’ and calling the Saturday night traffic jam a ‘disgrace’ and ‘absolutely ridiculous’.
