Helicopter Hovers Over Truck Stranded in Rio Hondo Riverbed

Firefighters in Downey, California, used a helicopter on Tuesday, January 9, to investigate a truck stranded in the Rio Hondo riverbed. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported[1] that no one was in the vehicle when crews arrived.

Downey was under a flash flood warning[2] on Tuesday, with officials warning of heavy flooding in recent wildfire burn areas.
