Man and boy die in Queensland truck crash


A boy and a man have died after their car collided with a truck northwest of Brisbane. The 27-year-old man and seven-year-old boy died on Tuesday when their ute collided with a truck in Murgon. Two girls – aged one and six – who were also also rear seat passengers were treated at the scene and taken to Murgon Hospital with the six-year-old later airlifted to Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

The one-year-old girl has been released from hospital.

The driver of the semi-trailer, a 52-year-old man, was not injured but treated for shock.
