Massive search to find missing sports journalist who was 'followed by truck'

Courtney Roland, a sports reporter for Rivals.com, was reportedly last seen in Houston, Texas, on Saturday evening at around 4pm (10pm GMT). The television journalist’s last known communication was at 12.30am local time (6.30am GMT) on Sunday when she apparently told a friend she thought she was being followed. She is said to have told her pal a blue truck leaving a Walgreens supermarket was stalking her.

Ms Roland’s family have since filed a missing person report and are desperately appealing for information on her whereabouts.

On Sunday, Ms Roland’s mum reportedly received a mysterious text from her daughter. It said: “Hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad.”

Courtney’s roommate, Autumn Vara, has posted an appeal on Facebook. She wrote: “Hi guys, as of January 7 we have filed a missing persons report for Courtney Roland.

FOLLOWED: It is claimed a blue truck was spotted stalking her before she went missing

“She was last confirmed seen January 6 at 4 pm leaving football camp in Houston. “The last communication was via text at 12:30 am January 7.

She was worried that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens, location unknown. “Last heard wearing Remington hat and camo and in a white Jeep Cherokee. PLEASE SHARE and reach out to any of us or missing persons at 832-394-1840.

“Prayers out to her family during this difficult time.”

Ms Roland reportedly drives a 2015 silver Jeep Cherokee with the registration HZC7778.
