Driving To Deliver Your Business

Cargo Coffee brings a new drive-thru experience to Bangor

Science says it, so it must be true – coffee is good for you. Just three wee cups a day, according to research, and you’ll get more than a spring in your step – you’ll live longer, too. So for trendsters on the go a super-quick fix is a must if you’re to hit that daily goal.

Cargo Coffee is Co Down[1]‘s latest coffee drive-thru, the only independent one in Northern Ireland, and it’s making its mark on Bangor[2].

The hipsters’ haven – brainchild of Belfast Giants[3] star Matt Towe – takes its inspiration from the classic drive-thrus of the States and adds a modern, NI twist. Built from up-cycled shipping containers and emblazoned with bold branding and stunning street art, the coffee-mad staff at Cargo source the beans locally, too.

The blend of choice – chocolatey smooth Pendo – comes straight from Belfast-based roasters Bailies Coffee and packs a serious punch for those low-ebb on-the-move moments. But it’s not all about coffee at Cargo and if you weren’t salivating already, just wait til you hear about the locally-sourced grub the trendy pit-stop is offering commmuters.

For one, there’s the all-day breakfast stack with thick back bacon, sausage swirl and a fried egg, topped off with delicious Ballymaloe relish and sandwiched in a classic Belfast bap – minus the flour to keep your car clean.

Then there’s the mouth-watering list of artisan treats like peanut butter balls, Biscoff rocky roads and salted caramel brownies to chow down on.

And if all that’s not enough there are even dog treats on tap, ready to hand out to any hungry pooches mooching in the back seat. So whether you’re serious about coffee or just enjoy a nice cup of java, take a spin over to Cargo Coffee on Belfast Road. Drive through in your car, ride across on your bike or even take a walk up to the hatch and you can order right there.

If the weather keeps up make the most of the sunshine, pull a pew up outside.. and enjoy.
