Akshay Kumar Collaborates With Ministry Of Road Transport For Promoting Road Safety

The recent times have witnessed Bollywood actors taking interest in social welfare issues and associating themselves with the government campaigns for promoting awareness towards several issues. Akshay Kumar has made sure to touch upon menstrual hygiene and open defecation via his films. Khiladi Kumar has now joined hands with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for promoting government’s road safety campaign.

The actor announced his association with the project by posting a picture of himself in a traffic police uniform on Twitter. Along with the image, he wrote, “Honoured to associate with @MORTHRoadSafety and take forward the ‘Road Safety’ movement. I sincerely hope the campaign will bring about a behavioral change towards traffic & road safety and in turn help save precious lives.”

Expressing their gratitude for Akshay’s dedication, the official Twitter handle of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways replied to his tweet stating, “We sincerely appreciate Mr Akshay Kumar for his commitment to the cause of Road Safety. Akshay recently started promoting a product made with active natural ingredients.

He is currently busy shooting his next film, ‘Kesari’ which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi.

He will also be seen alongside Rajinikanth in ‘2.0’ and also has a sports biopic titled ‘Gold’ lined up in his kitty.
