Pedestrian killed in crash with 4×4 truck

A pedestrian has died after he was in collision with a 4×4 truck. Emergency services received reports of a man injured in King Street in Brynmawr at about 9.40pm on Monday. Gwent Police[1] said a 32-year-old man from the local area had been in collision with a grey Mitsubishi Warrior.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said a crew in an emergency ambulance, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a doctor attended the incident. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “At approximately 9.40pm on Monday, June 4, we were called to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in King Street, Brynmawr. “A 32-year-old local man had collided with a grey Mitsubishi Warrior.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are supporting the family of the deceased.” Police are still investigating the incident.
