A semi-trailer full of chicken guts has lost its load on a Queensland highway creating a slippery, stomach-churching mess.
Police were forced to close a section of the Mt Lindesay Highway, south of Brisbane after the truck was involved in a collision on Monday.
Fire and Emergency Services received reports of a spillage on the highway at Jimboomba around 1:35pm, near the intersection at Camp Cable Road.

A spokesperson from the Queensland Police Service said the highway had been closed to allow for the clean up of the animal innards.
Police and the QFES remained on the scene until 2pm, with one officer describing the road as ‘slippery’.
The highway reopened around 4pm with cleaning still taking place, with one photo from the scene showing a man with a broom attempting to sweep up the mess.
It is understood the spillage occurred after the driver of the truck was forced to take sudden action due to another vehicle.

The driver of the truck was transferred to the Beaudesert Hospital in a stable condition around 2:10pm.
A spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said the man had no distinct injuries.
Witnesses captured nauseating photos of the truck and semi-trailer covered with pink chicken guts.
‘I didn’t see exactly what happened but it’s horrendous and hilarious at the same time,’ one onlooker told the Courier Mail.

Photos of the road were posted to Facebook group ‘Woodridge Crime Watch, to warn locals of the major road closure.
‘This happened when the chicken crossed the road?’, one user asked jokingly.
The smell would be horrendous’, another local commented.
