American Cargo resumes flights between US and Israel
American Airlines Cargo has resumed flights from the US (New York JFK and Miami) to Israel (Ben Gurion Airport). The carrier is operating Boeing 777-200 daily flights between New York and and Tel Aviv, as well as flights three times per week between between Miami and Tel Aviv using the same aircraft type. Flights on the routes will initially carry around 15 tonnes of cargo, depending on passenger load factors.
Tim Isik, managing director of cargo sales – Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia, at American Airlines Cargo, commented: “It’s exciting to have cargo operations to and from Tel Aviv again. “There is a real market demand, not only for service to our hubs in New York and Miami, but also for connections to onward destinations. We’re excited to keep the world’s goods moving with the addition of these routes and provide more connections for customers.”
Additionally, from October this year, American Cargo will launch a Boeing 787-9 service three times per week between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Tel Aviv.
