Lorry veers off major Scots road & down embankment as mercy crews rush to scene

A LORRY has careered off the A91 near Stirling as emergency services rushed to the scene.

The large vehicle went down an embankment as police were alerted to the incident around 11.55am this morning.

The smash took place between Skeoch Farm Roundabout and Greenyards Roundabout.

Three fire appliances were spotted at the scene, with four Scottish Fire and Rescue Service support vehicles also in attendance.

There are currently no reports of injuries.

Emergency services remain in attendance and the stretch of road is currently closed.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.55am on Thursday, 3 June, police were called to a report of a lorry down an embankment on the A91, between Skeoch Farm Roundabout and Greenyards Roundabout, Stirling.

“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed. There is no information on injuries at this stage.”

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
