Emergency services close lanes on M25 for ‘police incident’

A “police incident” has caused delays on the M25.

Two lanes were closed after an incident was reported shortly before 11.45am on Thursday (July 1).

Traffic news service INRIX said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to police incident on M25 clockwise[1] between J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange[2]) and J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey[3]).

“Congestion to Cobham[5] Services. Lanes one and two (of four) are closed, traffic was already queueing due to a lorry having a tyre changed just after J11.”

Surrey Police[6] asked motorists to seek an alternative route if possible.
