Live updates after pedestrian knocked down by lorry in Wigston

A pedestrian is believed to have been injured in a collision involving a lorry in Wigston town centre.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of the crash, in Long Street.

It is not clear exactly what time the incident happened, however, an air ambulance was spotted landing in the nearby Aylestone Lane Park at about 7.30pm.

The street is currently blocked to traffic, with diversions in place.
