Tractor-trailer truck collision with bus

Multiple people were sent to hospitals after a tractor-trailer truck collided with a bus on Interstate 20.

The Oxford Fire Department says units responded to the wreck just after 5:00 p.m. today, at the 177 mile marker.

OFD Chief Gary Sparks says the tractor-trailer truck apparently hit the bus in the rear and along its side. Sparks says 16 people in total were hurt. Twelve of those injured were taken to a Calhoun County hospital, and four went to a hospital in Talladega.

According to Sparks, 35 people were unhurt and were later picked up by a bus company or family members. Oxford Fire says the tractor-trailer truck driver refused medical treatment. READ THE FULL STORY:Tractor-trailer truck collision with bus
