Harbert European Real Estate Fund V, a fund managed by US-based investment firm Harbert Management Corporation, and French developer PRD have signed a new property development contract for the construction of a 110,800 sqm logistics warehouse near Beauvais airport, North of Paris. This new platform brings Harbert’s pipeline of logistics projects in France to over 160,000 sqm. The group is thus continuing its strategic investments alongside PRD, which is due to deliver its first 50,500 sqm asset on the Lyon-Pont d’Ain site by the end of the year.

The Beauvais platform, built on a 23.4 hectare site within the Novaparc urban development zone, will be delivered in full in February 2023. According to the developers, this is the largest XXL warehouse currently being developed in white in France. It will be Breeam Very Good certified and will have a photovoltaic roof.

“The Beauvais logistics platform project is a perfect example of Harbert’s strategy of investing in markets of the future in regions that are distinguished by their dynamism and attractiveness,” explains Eric Desautel, director of Harbert’s French office. “This will enable us to meet the growing demand in the Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France regions for the latest generation of XXL logistics infrastructure. This would not have been possible without the close collaboration between the Beauvaisis agglomeration, Harbert and PRD, which has amply demonstrated its ability to create very large, high quality logistics warehouses.  Romain Peyronie, Managing Director of PRD, is delighted with this, as it continues its “pioneering strategy with the largest white goods operation in France”.

For this transaction, Harbert was advised by Screeb, DLA Piper and Etyo.

PRD was advised by Realex.
