Tanker Truck Rolls Over, Spills 10,000 Gallons Of Fuel, Shuts Down Part Of Route 60 In Revere

REVERE (CBS) – A tanker truck rolled over and crashed in Revere early Wednesday morning, spilling about 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The truck crashed just before 4 a.m. at the Brown Circle rotary. Both sides of Route 60 were shut down for more than two hours.

The westbound side re-opened around 6:30 a.m., but the eastbound side between Patriot Parkway and Route 107 remains closed.

A tanker truck rolled over and crashed at the Brown Circle Rotary on Route 60 in Revere early Wednesday. (WBZ-TV) Route 107 south leading up to the area is also shut down. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible while the truck is removed.

The fuel clean up and repairs to the pavement are expected to take most of the day.
