XPediator signs 10-year deal for distribution warehouse in Netherlands

Xpediator PLC today said unit Delamode International Logistics Ltd signed a 10-year lease for a new purpose-built 180,000 square feet (35,000 pallet spaces) storage and distribution warehouse in Roosendaal, Netherlands.  The freight management services provider for the UK and Central and Eastern Europe will occupy the site from March 2023.   “The decision to take a long lease on this warehouse reflects demand and the post-Brexit strategies of our clients to hold stock in both the UK and mainland Europe and follows on from the recent opening of our new 200,000 sqft warehouse extension in Southampton,” said chief executive Wim Pauwels.

The company will take a 6,500-pallet space warehouse in Roosendaal for 12 months from March this year to meet current customer demand, with an option to increase to 15,000 pallet spaces.  “We are a growing business, so this extension together with investments we are making across the business is all part of maximising our organic growth potential,” Pauwels added.  Several customers believe splitting stock between the UK and mainland Europe is the best option to bring products to the market in the quickest possible time, the statement said.

Roosendaal is situated near major roads and ports for transport to the rest of continental Europe.

2021 full-year results will be published at the end of January, it said.
